Meet the Founder of

INDRA MEDITATION

Its inception began when founder Maja realized how hard it was for her to meditate in traditional ways, even as an experienced energy practitioner and meditator. She began her yogic journey in 2005 as a student of Hatha yoga, which soon became a full lifestyle change. She completed a 200-hour vinyasa-yin teacher training, guided yoga Nidra sessions in Turkey and Brazil, trained in bodywork from an ayurvedic basis, studied energy medicine and sound healing implementation, and engages in Zazen in her personal journey. She travels regularly across the Atlantic to gather unique herbs from her homeland (former Yugoslavia) to practice herbalism and incorporate its soothing powers during Indra. She’s a classically trained musician who earned two bachelor and two master degrees, and has completed a five year psychodynamic analytic treatment allowing her to hold safe spaces for others. Currently, she holds certification in entheogenic ceremony, reiki healing, and shinrin-yoku (she is a sylvotherapist). She is a Munay-Ki Shaman and engages in clinically proven and studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (from professor Jon Kabat-Zinn) practices as part of her on going learning.

She wanted to combine her comprehensive understanding of the mind, body, botany, sound, spirituality, communication, analysis, art, and energy into a wholesome experience for individuals—individuals that want to meditate in a way that is comfortable as a means to a transformative, restful, and healing journey.

She welcomes you to your highly individualized meditative practice with her.
